The IRONSIDE Water Rower combines a natural wood frame with a sealed water tank to deliver a smooth, full-body rowing workout. Resistance builds with every stroke: the harder and faster you pull, the more the water pushes back. There are no levels to set and no knob to turn, just a natural rowing feel that works for beginners and experienced athletes alike.
How Water Resistance Works
Paddles spin inside a sealed tank holding 7 to 17 L (1.8 to 4.5 US gal) of water. Resistance responds instantly to the speed of your stroke, much like rowing on open water. Each stroke engages your legs, core, back, shoulders and arms at the same time, making it an efficient full-body cardio workout.
Water rowers are also known for their soft, steady swoosh: quieter and less mechanical than an air rower, ideal for a home gym, apartment or condo.
Real-Time Performance Monitor
The monitor runs on 2 AA batteries and displays:
- Workout time and distance (km or miles)
- Strokes per minute
- Current and average speed
- Calories per hour
- Time per 500 m (split)
Set a time or distance target and the monitor alerts you when you reach it.
Natural Wood Frame Built for Daily Use
The high-quality natural wood frame supports users up to 353 lb (160 kg) and absorbs part of the vibration for a quieter session. The 44.9 in (114 cm) rail offers 33.1 in (84 cm) of seat travel, enough for a full stroke for users of different heights. Transport wheels and upright storage let you clear the floor between sessions.

Water Rower FAQ
Can I adjust the resistance?
There are no resistance levels and no knob. Resistance increases naturally with the speed and power of your stroke: row easy to warm up, pull hard to sprint. That is exactly how rowing on water works.
How much water goes in the tank?
Fill the tank with 7 to 17 L (1.8 to 4.5 US gal) of clean water, without going over the maximum mark, and change the water regularly. To fill it, hold the bucket higher than the rower; to drain it, place the bucket at the same level or lower.
Is a water rower quiet?
Yes. The paddles make a soft, steady water sound with no fan noise, and the wood frame absorbs part of the vibration. It is a great choice for apartments, condos and shared spaces.
Water rower or air rower: which one should I choose?
Choose the water rower for a smooth, quiet stroke and a natural wood look at home. If you want adjustable resistance levels and a machine built for CrossFit boxes and commercial gyms, the IRONSIDE Combat Rower air rower offers 10 resistance levels.
How much space do I need?
The rower measures 80.7 × 20.5 × 22.0 in (205 × 52 × 56 cm). Leave about 3.3 ft (1 m) of clear space around it. Between sessions, stand it upright to free up floor space.
What maintenance does it need?
Keep the rail clean by wiping off dust and debris where the seat wheels roll, and add lubricant at the indicated points if the seat stops gliding smoothly or makes noise. Check that nuts and bolts are tight before each use, change the tank water regularly and replace the 2 AA batteries when the display dims.

I purchased this ÍPS Pro 2.0 multi-station at a very good price. I think it’s a very versatile piece of equipment, and the quality is excellent. The steel components and overall construction are very sturdy and well-made. As a precaution, if you live outside the city and don’t have access to Ironside’s assembly service, you should make sure you have someone experienced with assembly. This is not an easy piece of equipment to put together, and the instruction manual isn’t sufficiently detailed or clear, so that’s something to keep in mind. That said, their support is good, and they help you remotely. The purchasing experience was excellent, with great customer support and helpful information provided through WhatsApp. Personally, I value being able to purchase everything from a single brand with outstanding quality, as it makes things easier by allowing me to work with just one supplier. These machines are nothing like the poorly assembled, lightweight equipment sold at Liverpool or on Amazon. They are professional-grade, durable machines built with exceptional attention to detail. I highly recommend purchasing from Ironside!
