This page applies to all editorial content published by IRONSIDE Fitness Canada (9540-0602 Québec Inc.), including blog articles, buying guides, training guides, specification guidance, product descriptions, videos and social media content (collectively, the "Content").
1. Information only
The Content is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not professional advice of any kind, it is not tailored to your situation, and it should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any training, purchasing, construction, installation or business decision.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the Content accurate and current, but we make no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to its accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for any particular purpose. Specifications, dimensions, weights, prices, availability and technical data may change without notice, and the product page and your written quote always take precedence over any figure appearing in an article.
2. Training and exercise content
Exercise and training content is not medical advice, is not a substitute for qualified in-person coaching, and does not constitute a personalized training program. It is not a diagnosis, treatment or rehabilitation protocol.
Strength training, weightlifting, functional fitness and conditioning carry an inherent risk of serious injury, including but not limited to muscle strains, tendon and ligament injury, joint injury, spinal injury, fractures, concussion, cardiac events and, in the case of high-volume unaccustomed eccentric work, exertional rhabdomyolysis.
Before beginning or modifying any exercise program you should consult a physician or other qualified health professional, particularly if you have or suspect any injury or medical condition, are pregnant or postpartum, are taking medication, are under 18, are over 65, or are returning to training after a period of inactivity. We strongly recommend learning any movement described in the Content under the supervision of a certified coach before adding load, volume or speed.
You are solely responsible for training within your own current capabilities, for using appropriate loads and progressions, for warming up, for using safety devices such as spotter arms and collars, and for stopping immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, shortness of breath, dark urine or any unusual symptom. Loads, set and repetition ranges, progressions and program examples in the Content are illustrative general examples only and are not prescriptions for any individual.
3. Equipment use, assembly and maintenance
You are responsible for assembling, installing, inspecting, using and maintaining all equipment strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, stated weight capacities and load limits, and for respecting any age or supervision restriction. Where the Content and the manufacturer's documentation differ, the manufacturer's documentation governs.
Equipment must be inspected before each use. Do not use any equipment that shows wear, deformation, cracking, corrosion, loose fasteners, damaged cables, worn bushings or a compromised locking, clamp or adjustment mechanism. Adjustable equipment must be fully secured before every set. Modifying equipment, exceeding its rated capacity, or using it for a purpose other than the one it was designed for voids the warranty and creates a serious risk of injury.
In commercial, institutional and multi-user settings, the facility operator remains responsible for supervision, staff training, user instruction, signage, access control, inspection schedules and compliance with applicable occupational health and safety obligations.
4. Facility planning, flooring and specification content
Guidance on flooring thickness and density, layout, clearances, ceiling heights, footprints, floor loading, acoustics, noise reduction and installation is general industry-oriented information. It is not engineering, architectural, acoustical or building code advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional assessment of your specific building.
Before installing equipment or flooring, you are responsible for verifying structural and floor loading capacity, building and fire code compliance, accessibility requirements, occupancy limits, insurance requirements and any applicable municipal or provincial regulation, with a qualified engineer, architect or other competent professional as appropriate. This is particularly important for suspended floors, upper storeys, mezzanines, basements and shared or multi-unit buildings.
5. Standards, tests and third-party names
Where the Content refers to standards, tests, protocols or evaluations, those references are provided for general context only. We are not the publisher of those standards, we do not certify compliance with them, and you should consult the current official version issued by the relevant body.
Third-party names, organizations, institutions, standards bodies, trademarks and programs are referenced for identification and descriptive purposes only. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, endorsement by, certification by, partnership with or approval from those parties, and no such relationship should be inferred. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
6. No offer, no contract
The Content does not constitute an offer, a tender submission, a quotation or a binding commitment. Pricing, lead times, availability, product specifications, delivery, installation scope, service coverage, payment terms and any other commercial term are confirmed only in a written quotation, order confirmation or contract signed by IRONSIDE Fitness Canada. Statements in the Content about how we typically work with clients describe general practice and may vary by project, volume, region and circumstances.
7. Third-party links
The Content may link to third-party websites, studies or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability, and a link does not constitute an endorsement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, IRONSIDE Fitness Canada, 9540-0602 Québec Inc., and its directors, officers, employees, contributors and suppliers accept no liability for any injury, death, illness, property damage, financial loss, business interruption, or direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use of, reliance on, or inability to use the Content, including any exercise, technique, load, progression, program, product recommendation, specification, layout, measurement or installation method described in it.
By using the Content you agree that you do so at your own risk and that you assume full responsibility for your decisions, your training and your use of any equipment.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any right, warranty, guarantee, condition or remedy that applies to you and cannot lawfully be excluded, including the legal warranty of quality under the Civil Code of Québec and the protections of the Consumer Protection Act (Québec) and equivalent consumer protection legislation in other provinces. This disclaimer does not limit liability for gross or intentional fault, or for bodily or moral injury, where the law does not permit such limitation.
9. Product warranty and terms of sale
This disclaimer concerns editorial content. It does not modify the warranty applicable to products you purchase from us. See our warranty policy, terms and conditions, shipping policy and exchange and return policy.
